Quarles Latest GOP Challenger to Get FOX News Treatment

Several Kentucky Republicans running for governor in the GOP primary are getting their moment to cast stones against Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear.

The latest to see their name on the Fox News website is Agriculture Commissioner and Republican gubernatorial primary candidate Ryan Quarles.

Quarles told the right-wing news outlet that Beshear is not doing anything about drugs flowing from Mexico into Kentucky.

“Everyone in Kentucky, including myself, knows somebody who’s been affected by the scourge of drugs across the commonwealth,” Quarles told Fox News Digital last week. “I think the disconnect between Andy Beshear and those families that have suffered through this is his unwillingness to address the issue.”

“He occupies the most powerful office in our state. If I was governor, I would call Governor [Greg] Abbott down in Texas and say, ‘What can we do to help?’ Because we know that the fentanyl is coming through the porous Mexican border,” he told Brandon Gillespie from Fox.

Quarles is not the only candidate talking about drugs to Fox. Former UN Ambassador Kelly Craft focused her remarks to Fox on drugs coming from China into the U.S.

There are 12 candidates, including Quarles running in the May 16 primary for the Republican nomination for governor. Fox News is expected to do multiple interviews with front runners in the race.
