Rand Paul Continues TV Blitz with 2nd Ad of General Election

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, continues to spend from his campaign war chest in an effort to remain in the United States Senate for a third term.

Paul released the ad, titled Affordable, statewide, which focuses on inflation and spending by Congress.

In the video, Paul points the finger at President Joe Biden and Democrats.

“Joe Biden and the radical left closed small businesses, shut down the economy, and spent billions we didn’t have,” Paul says. “Now everything including food and fuel costs more every day.”

Paul is presumably talking about COVID shutdowns which started in 2020, under then-Republican President Donald Trump, when he says Biden closed down businesses.

“I’ve never voted for an unbalanced budget, and as your Senator, I’ll continue to fight spending; reducing our national debt and make life more affordable for all,” he said.

In the November election, Paul faces Democratic nominee and former state Rep. Charles Booker. The incumbent Senator has a wide fundraising lead in the race.
