Planned Parenthood Action KY is endorsing Democratic candidate for Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg.
Greenberg has promised not to use the Louisville Metro Police Department to enforce an abortion ban in Louisville.
“Planned Parenthood Action KY is on the front lines in the fight to restore and protect reproductive rights in Kentucky. I am honored to receive their endorsement,” Greenberg said in a statement. “The fight for reproductive freedom is not just in Frankfort or Washington, it is also right here in Louisville. I have pledged that, if elected, I will not use LMPD to be the enforcement arm of Kentucky’s extreme abortion ban.”
“Louisville voters have a clear choice in the election for Mayor. My Republican opponent, Bill
Dieruf, is backed by anti-abortion extremists who work to criminalize all abortions, even in the
case of rape or incest. Bill also refuses to say if he’ll allow the police to arrest women seeking
abortions and the doctors who assist them,” Greenberg continued.
Jeffersontown Mayor Bill Dieruf faces Greenberg in the November General Election.
