Gov. Beshear Raises $1.1 Mil in 2nd Quarter for Re-Election

Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear is turning in another million-dollar fundraising report, this time for the 2nd quarter of the year, bringing him close to $3.5 million raised since announcing he would seek a second term in office.

Beshear’s $1.1 million brings his campaign to $3.2 million cash on hand for what’s gearing up to be a significant challenge, as multiple top-tier Republicans seek to oust him next year.

“I appreciate everyone who is pitching in to keep Kentucky moving forward,” said Gov. Beshear. “This report demonstrates bipartisan confidence in the work we are doing here in Kentucky to ensure that we are a place where every family can thrive. With record job creation and a roaring economy, Kentucky has emerged from the pandemic stronger than ever. It is more critical than ever that we continue to be a place where everyone is treated with dignity and compassion, and that’s always how I’ll lead.”

Fundraising reports from Republican challengers have not yet appeared on the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance online portal. Reports are due to KREF at midnight on Tuesday, July 5.
