Louisville Democrats have stuttered-stepped after a statewide pivot move, effectively distancing themselves from Fancy Farm and now canceling a counter-event, instead opting to host a vaccination clinic.
The clinic, now dubbed FancyVaxx will replace Fancyville, the Democratic counter-event to the annual Fancy Farm picnic and political speaking, which will take place this Saturday, August 7.
“The most important factor, in fact the only factor, for this community is shots in arms,” said event organizer Virginia Woodward. “Political speeches can wait until we all are safe.”
Louisville Democrats are expected to volunteer at the IUE-CWA on Saturday where they are working with Norton Healthcare to host the large-scale vaccination site.
