Democrats Nominate Small Business Owner to Fill 89th Dist. House Seat

Democrats in the 89th House Dist. have nominated a Berea, Kentucky, small business owner for the Special Election to fill the vacated House seat of former Republican Rep. Robert Goforth who resigned in August.

The Madison County Democratic Party quietly announced Mae Suramek of Berea, KY, as their nominee for the district which includes part of Madison, part of Laurel, and all of Jackson County.

Suramek is a small business owner, social entrepreneur, mom, former non-profit director, and a believer in the people and the power of Kentucky, according to the Madison County Democratic Party.
