State Rep. Joe Fischer, R-Ft. Thomas, is primed to receive more partisan political help in the nonpartisan race for the Northern Kentucky Supreme Court district.
On Nov. 3, Republican Northern Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie will appear alongside Fischer for a “Sixth Supreme Court District Tour,” in Falmouth, Independence, Owenton, and Shelbyville, Kentucky.
Fischer continues to lean in on his conservative background even as has caught heat for politicizing the nonpartisan election. In April, a campaign conduct group raised concerns that Fischer was running a partisan election. Fischer preemptively sued the Judicial Conduct Commission for taking action against him, according to the Courier-Journal. Fischer lost that legal battle, at least for the moment.
An outside PAC is dumping $375,000 worth of ads in the race, further politicizing the election.
