Craig Greenberg and Morgan McGarvey won with large margins in Tuesday nights Democratic primaries setting up their General Election on Nov. 8.
Greenberg won a 8 way Democratic primary garnering 34,115 votes. His next closest competitor was Shameka Parrish Wright who brought in 17,730 votes. Greenberg will look ahead to the November General Election against Republican Jeffersontown Mayor Bill Dieruf.
“This past year has been an amazing experience, even with some very difficult events, and I am better prepared than ever to help build the Louisville every neighborhood and every family deserves,” Greenberg said.
Dieruf said the numbers show he can win as a nonpartisan.
Kentucky Senate Minority Leader Morgan McGarvey also easily won his primary against Attics Scott to replace outgoing Congressman John Yarmuth.

John Yarmuth, who has served with excellence and integrity for the past 15 years, we’re confident that Morgan McGarvey will not only keep the 3rd Congressional District blue, but will also follow in Congressman Yarmuth’s footsteps by delivering real results for Kentucky families,” said Kentucky Democratic Party Chair Colmon Elridge. “We also thank Rep. Attica Scott for not only the honorable campaign she ran, but for her years of service in the Kentucky House of Representatives. We congratulate Sen.
