GOP Erlanger City Councilman Files to Primary Rep. Koenig

House Licensing, Occupations, & Administrative Regulations Committee Chair Adam Koenig, R-Erlanger, will have to defend his right flank in the upcoming primary election as a city councilman filed to challenge for the seat on Friday.

Erlanger City Councilman Steven Doan filed for the 69th District House seat that includes portions of Crescent Springs, Crestview Hills, Edgewood, Elsmere, Erlanger, Florence, and Independence.

“It is time that the legislature aggressively advance conservative public policy,” Doan said in a news release. “Many of our leaders have lost sight of the simple fact that government serves the interest of the people. I intend to restore the balance of power and put the families of the 69th district at the
forefront of my legislative agenda.”

Doan is an attorney who served as general counsel for the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy in 2016. He was selected to serve on the Erlanger City Council in August of 2021.
