GOP Nominates Michael “Sarge” Pollock for House District 51 Special Election

Republicans in the 51st House Dist. nominated Michael “Sarge” Pollock of Campbellsville to be the GOP candidate for the Nov. 2, 2021, special election to fill the vacancy created by the passing of the late Rep. John “Bam” Carney.

“The passing of Bam Carney hit Kentucky Republicans hard, and we are very grateful for all he accomplished for his community and our party and state,” Republican Party of Kentucky Executive Director Sarah Van Wallaghen said. “Michael ‘Sarge’ Pollock will work to protect the sanctity of life, fight for gun rights, and keep taxes low to create jobs and opportunity for families and businesses in Taylor and Adair Counties. We are proud to have him as our nominee, and ready to win on Nov. 2.”

Pollock works as an insurance risk advisor in Campbellsville. Sarge graduated from Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Kentucky and has been married to his wife Susie for more than 32 years, according to a news release.

The 51st House District includes Adair and Taylor Counties.
